The center of Kaş, which was built on the ancient city of Antiphellos, became a settlement center with the houses established by some Greek families living in Meis towards the end of the 1800s. Until the 80s, it looked like a small fishing town. It became an alternative holiday town with the discovery of first foreign and then domestic tourists. The biggest reason for the alternative was that it was very difficult to come by car.

Today, Kaş has the atmosphere of a small city with many bank branches, grocery chains, and all kinds of shops, apart from restaurants and accommodation. In fact, it is small enough that you can easily walk around in 1-2 hours. The fact that all the places are intertwined adds a lively and dynamic atmosphere to Kaş.

The heart of the center of Kaş is, of course, the square. The square, which is quite large, is surrounded by old Greek houses. Almost all of these houses now serve as cafes, restaurants and shops. Since Kaş is generally steep, the view from the terraces of some of them is very beautiful.
Right in front of the square is Kaş Harbor, where boats are anchored. The harbor is surrounded by a large breakwater. Boat tours and diving are very popular in Kaş, only these boats fill the harbor. Those who come with their private boats anchor in the marina.

The right side of the harbor leads to the ancient theater and the left side leads to the beach area called Küçük Pebble. There are many ‘beaches’ built on wooden platforms where you can swim on both sides. Since the shores of Kaş are rocky, you can only enter the sea in this way.
